JotM November 2008

The Jammer of the Month for November, 2008 is Asiah.

Asiah is a band who keeps it interesting. Combining different elements of your typical metal with death metal influences, Asiah strives to be the band that can be catchy while still being the brutal band they set out to be. In their music you will find technical riffs along with heavy breakdowns, which is something that is hard to come by and be successful with in the area in which they are from. They released a 10 track EP entitled "The Arrival" in the spring of 2008 that includes songs that only begin to describe the true meaning of Asiah, and from there, they will only grow stronger.

The members of this band are a tight knit group when it comes to friendship and definitely shows when it comes to their music, as crowds from all over will find out. With a fresh new lineup and new musical ideas forever flowing, Asiah plans on being one of the tightest sounding bands in the Northeast area. They create music that they themselves enjoy listening to. Who wouldn't? They will grab your attention with one catchy riff after another one minute, and absolutely pummel you to the ground the next. In the past few months, Asiah has even had the privilege of sharing the stage with national acts such as Metal Blade's Rose Funeral, and Victory Record's Carnifex. Be prepared for a band on the rise as they make their metal presence known in their area...and yours...
