Bob Roets- Owner
Bob started Wooden Nickel Music in 1982. Originally from Madison, Wisconsin, he worked at several music stores in Madison, and later moved to Fort Wayne. Besides being President of Wooden Nickel, he is also Co-President of the Carroll High School Band Boosters.

They have a large assortment of classic rock, new rock, alternative, country, and some soundtracks, jazz, rap, hip-hop, r&b and soul. They also carry t-shirts, tapestries, carrying cases, blank disc and cassettes. Just in for this location are Music DVD's. Not to mention that this location has also got thousands of used movie DVD's and hundreds of cassette tapes too. If you would like to get rid of your CD's and DVD's for cash and trade, it would be best to bring them in from 10 A.M. to 3 P.M. everyday of the week. But you can bring them in any other time but it is easier at these times.

This store has a wide selection of CD's but is also the best place in the state to get vinyl albums. In fact, half of the store is album related things. This store is a music lovers place to be. Actually it is hard to explain this place. Sorry, but you just need to go there and see it for yourself. But also, to sell your albums at this store, you will need to drop them off at leave your name and number because they are usually running one to two weeks behind on buying because not enough time is available to look at them. Just an FYI.

This store in the Village of Time Corners is a scaled down version of the Clinton Street store. It has much of the same selection but in a smaller store. They have the same things that they do: t-shirts, tapestries and the like again. Special ordering things here to is also fast and easy, because they have a better system than the other stores I guess. Reggae is also a specialty because one of the longtime employees really likes it.
