 Welcome to Jammer Direct!

      Out from the dark sprouting fangs and a bad temper for emos and bad music is Bludspyre. This band was founded in 2000 by Sean "StG" Goodpaster(vox) and Tony "Tonez" Snyder(guitars). After a few rounds of switcharoo members, in 2006 they settled down with drummer, Mike Delia. Through Mike, they found their promoter/bassist, Tim "Tank" Winchester. The trio was a quartet and instead of jacking around in a studio rehearsing, they packed up their bags and started playing shows nonstop.

      In early summer of 2007, Mike had to step down due to health issues. Immediately, Roger "PoRKCHoP" Ford stepped into the shoes to play drums, and after two weeks of practice they started playing again.

      This quartet, along with their manager, have been a full metal support of local music by hosting shows that bring the local community together. Their 12 Bands Before Christmas has (twice) given locals the chance to appreciate a variety of local rock acts such as Descended, Sirface, Silent Procession, Downstait, Artifical Red, Comatose, Soulfyre, Ojo Malo, Forthcoming, Echo's Hill, Zephaniah, Out of Despair, Skeleton Crow, Faust, Open Wounds, (national) DARK SHIFT, Sarene, Outline, and the Jam Crib School of Rock.

      They are pushing for the local music scene along with themselves. They have hosted benefits, played free shows, given free merchandise, and have always given 110% in every performance. They've had their songs on the Bear numerous times, and they will have played at Pieres for the third time by February. For a local band, they have come a long way in a matter of a year and a half.

22-Feb -  HELLYEAH, MACHINEHEAD, NONPOINT, BURY YOUR DEAD, and BLUDSPYRE

February 15th @ 9pm
  We get our equipment onstage at the Latchstring and get ready to perform a set with an amazing lineup,
Consumed By Fury, Slagg, and Skeleton Crow. All four bands have never been under the same roof at the
same time. So the show was all right even with the corny ass bastards that somehow thought we weren't that
impressive. We shut their fucking mouths up when Tonez t-bagged their ears with some brutal music. We don't mind criticism,
but we aren't good sports when it comes to mockery. Fucking asses. The set goes all right and we have to hit
home to catch some z's before we make our trek to Milwaukee, Wisconsin.

February 16th @ 7am
    It's too goddam early in the fucking morning. Me, XXX (our roadie), and my frined and Bludspert,
Arthur get up and get ready for the biggest day of our lives. Tonez comes by around 7:45 and we head out.
We meet Big Mama, Tank, and Porkchop along with a decent amount of sperts at the JamCrib. Tonez heads
back out a couple times to get a couple more people and his equipment. We load up and we head on out.
  We had two vans: the smokers van and the nonsmokers van. We started to drive and surprisingly about two hours
into the trip we see a fat man's ass (if you know Bludspyre's friends then you know who's ass we saw).
But in all fun and games we just had a blast shooting the shit and just getting excited.

  Around 1:30pm we get to Milwaukee, Wisconsin. We got lost immediately, but the surprising thing is we were
not on the right side of town. We were in the 'ghetto' of Milwaukee, and could not find one single white guy.
We didn't mind, in fact we were cracking jokes left and right. When we finally saw a white guy I cracked out the joke
that maybe he was lost too. Now that I look back on it, it was a really fuckin dumb joke, but it was funny at the time being.

  At 2:00pm we find where we're supposed to go, but we are about 2 hours earlier than before so we decided to go on a tour
of the Miller Brewery. It was fun, the tour was decent, and Bludspyre made the movie more interesting (prohibition: BOO!
, prohibition gone: YAY!!!) Then came the free samples. These weren't little shot glasses or plastic cups. These were mugs of
beer. We had Miller Lite, Miller High Life, and some beer that had a blueberry aftertaste (the price to pay was the beer
tasted terrible going down) Anyways we got some good photos of just the band and the whole crew plus sperts.

  At 4:30, we try to unload but the manager of the venue isn't there and the staff have no idea what's going on. All of us were
getting pissed off and really shitty. We finally unload our shit, but by the time we get to unload we have to load it right onto
the stage. We do so, and we set up. The sound guy said that we were the most professional band he's ever worked with. We started
on time, and got done on time. Hell, we even did a kick ass soundcheck with a short version of "Man In The Box". Anyways we go on
and played a 30 minute set. The set went as following
1: Star Strangled Banner
2: Dreaming
3: Heaven's Gate
4: Heresy
5: Family
6: Tbag Solo
7: Bludbrother
   We had to cut it short but we didn't mind. We got to open up the whole show for Hellyeah, Machinehead, Nonpoint, and Bury Your Dead.
We got done and got a lot of positive feedback along with some possible show offers. It was probably of best show we've ever performed, we were somewhat bummer that we
didn't get to blow the stage up with "Fistfight" or "Ecto Acid Suicide". We got loaded and parked the vans and prepared for the best show ever.

  At 8pm, Bury Your Dead comes on and shocks the shit out of us. I didn't care much for them before but this show was fuckin great. They
were top-notch. Nonpoint came out and I got my ass handed to me in the enormous pit. It was during their sobng "The Truth". I eventually got
cut on the head during it, but it was still fucking badass. Machinehead was phenomenal and I enjoyed their songs with each note and scream.
Last but not least, HELLYEAH. These guys were the reason I came to this show. Not just that we were opening, but because they were playing.
They played their whole CD along with their Queen cover "Stone Cold Wasted". Chad Gray crowd surfed and the rest of the band was on-top-of-it-all.
They ended the show with their title track, and we headed out.

February 17th @ 1am
   We're tired, drunk, and some of us are a little stoned, but that proved to be the most amazing show I've ever been to. We played an amazing
set, we got to tour a beer factory, and we got to see Hellyeah and Machinehead on the same stage. Hell, I was so energetic that you couldn't
keep me pinned to the ground. I want to personally thank each and every Bludspert who came with us to see us play, and to every one who didn't go,
you missed an amazing show that probably will never happen the same way it did ever again. Hopefully whenever we go do another show such as this
you might think about coming this time.

31-Jan -  BLUDSPYRE @ PIERES 02/07/08

On February 7th, 2008, BLUDSPYRE will be hitting the million-dollar stage for the third time in 8 months with a line-up like none other. Fort Wayne's top metal acts under one roof in one night.

This show is sponsored by the new music community Jammerdirect.com, Smash Alley Records, and T-Bush Recordings. They are making a compilation CD of the best of the best in the Fort. And they are having concerts every thursday to decide which bands will hold that honor.

On 02/07/08 the bands playing that night are as follows::::

::::SIRFACE:::
Making a name for your self in the Midwest’s fertile rock scene isn’t easy. But Sirface, one of Indiana’s premiere rock bands, has done just that and more. Since their foundation, Sirface have earned a faithful following among rock enthusiasts with their captivating songs and energetic live performances. In 2003 Sirface released their debut independent release “For Reasons Unknown.” The album, which features the hit songs “Try” and “Back for You,” has received rave reviews from many publications, including Whatzup magazine. “Seething with thick guitars and soaring melodies, ‘For Reasons Unknown’ will surely satiate your appetite for nu-metal,” says Jason Hoffman of Whatzup magazine. “For Reasons Unknown” is the result of 6 years of relentless hard work—song writing, traveling and looking for that major label break. “We’ve traveled from coast to coast hoping to play the right spot at the right time” says vocalist Jared. Sirface has been placed on several compilation CD’s. After landing a prized spot on the x102.3fm Extreme Essentials Vol.6 disc in January 2003, Sirface’s song “Try” went straight to .1 on x102.3’s “Alternative 9@9” (the nine most requested songs of the day). “Try” held the .1 spot for several weeks. The success of their first radio hit led into a busy year. After playing the Essentials CD release party, Sirface was invited to play the Mid West Mid Winter Meltdown with Seether, Ra, Socialburn and Noise Therapy. Soon after, they started production on their album “For Reasons Unknown.” In the summer of 2003, Sirface was asked to open a show for The Firm Mngt. with The Revolution Smile and LO-PRO at the infamous Club Ivar in Los Angeles. After returning to Indiana, Sirface was selected to play in the Budweiser True Music battle of the bands. They played two solid shows and won, receiving a cash prize and studio time. In the fall of 2003 Sirface landed another big show with LO-PRO playing with Static-X. A few weeks later “For Reasons Unknown” was released. In December 2003, Sirface was nominated in five categories for the Whatzup magazine people’s choice Awards (a local music awards show held in Fort Wayne, IN. for all of northern Indiana). Sirface won 3 out of the 5 winning Best rock CD release of 2003, best heavy rock performers and best DJ. Sirface was also chosen for 2004’s X102 Essentials Vol.7 compilation CD. They were also included on Volumes 3, 4, and 6. Amongst other nationals in which Sirface has played shows with are Darwins Waiting Room, Dope, Soil and Saliva, Crossfade, 5 speed, Skindred.

::DILATE::
Formed in early 2004. Strong focus on high energy performances and quality songwritting are the building blocks of the Dilate formula. We are just 5 regular dudes who love heavy hard rocking tunes and performing our shows in front of true music fans. We will always try to push ourselves as musicans and work toward presenting the best possible representation or ourselves and our influences. Life as well as music are gifts so we intend to treat them as such. We do not preach, pressure, or try to make up the listeners mind through our music. Every moment something negative occurs to another human being we want to show our friends and family(you the fans) that there is something postive in life and it is okay to embrace those moments. There is not much to do but issue a warning that Dilate is and will continue to be who and what we are day after day, hour after hour with no compromise and certianly no surrender.

::SKELETONCROW::
A band recently formed with former members of Downbreed and other bands. Skeletoncrow has played a good number of shows and have left jaws dropped. With their song "Death Grip" featured on the 12 Bands Before Christmas compilation CD, and numerous people being initiated as fans, Skeleton Crow has come so far in such little time. With Gary Wayne on vocals, Mark Villa on guitar, Lee Garza on drums, and LEROY on bass.

::FLUWID::
FLUWID is a metal band out of Dayton, Ohio. The band's unique sound is the result of a gradual evolution that took place over the past two years. Through hard work and dedication the band has written an incredible amount of original music. Twelve of their best songs have been released on their debut cd HOMESICK. They are currently in the studio working on some exciting new music. While recording is important, the band's emphasis is always on live perfomance and fan appreciation. Fluwid realizes that their success depends on more than talent and hard work. Fans are the most important element in Fluwid music.

and last but certainly not LEAST

::BLUDSPYRE::
Making a unique sound is one challenge many bands face. They always seem to come up short with them being label as a specific sound-alike band. Ever since 2006 Bludspyre has been coming up the ranks with their versatile music sounds ranging from not only one band but from many bands (ex. Pantera, Mudvayne, Tool, Prong, Static X, Korn) Their versatility in their music has left an imprint of metal on the face of Fort Wayne. Fueled by the tormenting screams and eeries pleas of StG, the Dimebag-esque guitars of Tonez, the growling bass from Tank, and the war drums from Porkchop--- this band has managed to survive even the toughest of times. They have had the priviledge of playing many venues in the surrounding area of Fort Wayne and even in Ohio, and they are planning to move further out towards Kentucky (March 6th) and Wisconsin (Feb. 16th)

They will have played with Hellyeah, Bury Your Dead, Nonpoint, and Machinehead, and they are not going to stop.

15-Dec-07 -  Bludspyre's Road Part 1

Well, as most of you know that we just got done hosting the 2nd 12 Bands Before Xmas. Are we tired? Hell yeah, but the excitement does not stop there. For right now until New Year's Eve we are practicing new material and revamping old school stuff to provide those sperts out there with more Bludworthy songs. Last New Year's show was the metal and models, but now this year's show is produced by our friends, B-rad and Prinny. The Nuclear New Yeas' Bash will have performances by Hollowed Saint, Verge of Submission, Piss Off, Skeleton Crow, and yours turly (de-de-der) Bludspyre.  We'll also have Tbag Tonez throw in his wonderful and holiday season filled 'Auld Lang Zyn". But the performances don't stop there.

     In the begining of January, Bludspyre will find themselves in a strange new situation- THE STUDIO!!!!! Yes, that's right the evolution of Bludspyre's full length sefl-titled CD will arise, and we guarantee that specific fan-favorite songs will be on this CD along with possibly some new ones.......who knows?

  We do have a steady show line up for January. We'll be sojourning to the world of hairless nuts, yes, OHIO. For a show or two, I believe.

    Then in February, the seas of Blud are very quiet for the time being, but then fast forward to MARCH, where us and our good friends, DESCENDED go on our mini-mini tour. We'll be shooting up to KeNTuCKY to play a few shows and then reroute ourselves right into Indy and back into the Fort. (Yea, we know it's a short tour, but that's what we do)

   Well I, StG, your captain oh captain of stds will keep you updated on the progress of our journeys, and hell, who knows. Maybe a video might pop up.

Take care, make friends, don't make babies. And remember spay or neuter your emos.
